Funnily enough, Mike, Tania, Elizabeth and I saw this tree yesterday (complete with large fungus) when we were walking the Lade Braes in St. Andrews.

And this one taken in Austin, Texas (that's bare rock the tree is growing on) . . .

You know if the rock was yellowish that might be what the Riders saw, when they were in the Southern Continent, the one from Dragonseye/Red Star Rising.
