I was one of those fortunate children, who got smuggled into drive-in cinemas when I was small enough to be hid. I got to see a few adult movies that way, let me tell you, and I survived them quite well.

Ghyle I don't think it is a matter of being good for the child. It is a matter of the child being quite during a movie in a theater. Driveins are diffrent. I wish we had one here. I would never have concidered taking Kibbie to a theater until she was able to be quite.

It also depends on the sensitivity of the child. I know one five year old who doesn't get to watch much TV at all, so he freaks out when he sees animated cartoons. For some reason "Transformers" changing is really freaky for him. On the other hand, I know a nine year old who watched all of the extended versions of LotR with her parents when she was seven, and didn't bat an eyelid!

Having voted today, I can say that it is one area where people didn't seem to mind others pushing ahead of them. Other occasions I've seen people complain, as I have done in shops when people pushed in ahead of me or others.

Yeah, I can see why one would complain about someone pushing ahead of them to battle with an enormous piece of paper in a cardboard voting booth which is much too short for anyone over 5'6" to stand at and fill out said enormous piece of paper comfortably.
