How would you feel if you discovered your brother was living across the road?

Discovered this today

Hm... not sure how I would react, but it would probably be very strange.

It's great that they found each other - what a coincidence they were living so close though.

We have a TV series running about people searching for their lost roots. It's very interesting. I'd hate to not know anything about my ancestors and sorry it took me so long to become interested.

My husband, at age 50, found a half sister he didnt know existed and was able to find his father's family that he knew absolutely nothing about. Our son, who had never known a grandfather, became very close to his only surviving that generation great uncle. It was very life enriching for him

That's what I thought Samsara, it really is a small world after all. It was something that caught my eye and thought of sharing

That is kinda strange.
Mom is looking for her biological father, but is not having any luck. She figures he has probably died. She is hoping to contact his family. She is trying to do a family tree.

Oh wow. My mum was adopted, and while we now know her mother's family, and her brother who was also adopted out, we haven't been able to find out much about her father except a name. And I have worked with several people with that surname. Can't help but wonder.

The first time my mum and her natural mum met was when they were working the CWA stall at the Royal Melbourne Show. (It was only briefly). One of the people from mum's branch commented on how alike they looked, but only when they were on their way home.

A few months later, mum and her half brother (they found each other first) located her, and they realised they had met before. Also, she only lives a suburb away from two of my sisters and I, and I used to live just down the road from one of my uncles, and go into my aunt's shop.

Such a small world!
