Default McCaffrey: Pern UK mass market paperbacks

For my Pern Cover Variations collection I still need some of the latest Corgi series paperbacks with the white spine and the new special font on cover and spine.

I need very good or better copies (cover needs to be spotless, no stickers on front) of:
  • Dragonsdawn
  • All the Weyrs of Pern
  • The Chronices of Pern: First Fall
Here are the covers:

I've been looking for them for you Hans, but none of the 2nd hand dealers I know in either Derby or Leicester seem to have them.

I know, you and Peter both are on the lookout, without success so far. But I'm in no hurry, so just keep an eye open for me

Hans, I have "Chronicles" with that cover, published in 1994.
Is there something different about the copy you want?

Should it turn out to be what you want, I'm sure arrangements can be made

I've just checked my "Chronicles". The type face is not the same as in your pic, Hans.
So I guess I can't help you after all

Thanks for looking Lily, the cover art on the previous Corgi edition and the latest one is indeed the same. The type face and the spine are different. Spine is white, font is Morpheus in the latest. But thanks

I am looking for ye, I am looking for ye, Hans! I have the editions that Lily is talking about but not the ones you've pictured. The ones I do have in this type face is Dragon's kin and Dragon's fire by Anne and Todd in near new condition but these are the only copies, I've got and are keeping them for myself. But at least I know what to look for. I'm going to Melbourne in 2 weeks time, plus 2 markets to go to and also my local bookshop has books that may come up. I shall search for ye, Hans. Do you wish them NEW if I can get them? Or will 2nd hand do in VGC or near new?

Jube, don't take this wrong but I'd prefer if someone in the Uk found them; much cheaper postage to me, you know
Unless you find 10 cent copies of course

I've ordered these three books yesterday in the UK. Someone was selling them new for 3 pounds each, a chance I can't pass up.

So, thank you Sara, P'ter, Edith and Jube, for looking.

I'm in the process of seeing of I still need any UK cover varations and there still seem to be a few (Harper Hall trilogy and Get off the Uncicorn; different fonts) and as soon as I have figured it all out, I'll post about it here.

Oh, and if anyone has/sees a hardcover of Get off the Unicorn...

Make that one more copy of *Get off the Unicorn*PLEASE, as I would like to find one too...but I will pass on the first found copy to you Hans...as you had your hand up first.............

I thought I had found a HC copy of this once, in the early days of my collecting...but it turned out to be a *Turtle back* copy instead...I was somewhat disapointed at the time, until I realized that there aren't to many of those out there either.

Yeah- well Dad is. We're taking the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam.
12 hours
Dad thought that South Holland meant the bottom of the Netherlands and so decided that Rotterdam was far closer to Delt than Hoek of Holland, so we now have a 12 hour crossing rather than a 6 hour crossing.

Hmf... that's rather silly. Harwich - Hoek van Holland would have been the best choice indeed. Next time, tell your dad to contact your Dutch agent (me) before he takes any decisions

On the other hand, if he thought you needed to go to the south, be glad he didn't chose Sheerness - Vlissingen

The Hull boat isn't too bad, it'll land you in the center of Rotterdam and the drive will be shorter by a few minutes (about 10) than the one we took from your hotel to my place.

Oh Lord Edi, well at least you and your Dad are going to have some nice time to spend together. How long is it going to be before you can go back home to Wales, for a visit?

Hans...hmmm a Dutch tour agent......is this another van der Boom speciality service

Back to Wales- maybe a couple of months- maybe less because of the ongoing family crisis.

Nick told him Hans- he didn't listen!
