USS Enterprise (the real one) - A Meeting of Minds

My father served on the shake down cruise of the USS Enterprise, so when Mom and I found out it was being decommissioned we applied for invitations.
We got the invites today

WE GET TO GO TO THE DECOMMISSIONING!!!!

It will be a four hour drive, which is not too bad. The problem will be getting a room for 2 nights. We'll figure something out.

We found a Motel 6 that had wheel chair friendly room for only 50 a night plus tax. We have reserved two room. We'll need it.

Pictures are planned. I just wish I had a decent camera. I'll do what I can.

speaking of enterprise, i'm planning on writing a star trek/pern crossover for nanowrimo!
