I really enjoyed this book...even though it wasn't as strong as the first one... the*City WHo Fought*. I enjoyed taking the solo-ish adventure with Joat, and her oddball crew.
I always enjoy reading my ship everyone here knows...but this one to me is just more of an interesting side story or end to the whole Kolnari kaper, than a stand alone book like her others in the *Ship* series. Although they do show up again briefly in The Ship Returned.
I love the Konari...they were delightfully evil, rotten and OH SO hunky...
I really enjoy Anne's evil villians...she always makes them incredibly interesting...IMO
"To the Horsehead Nebula and back we shall make beautiful music"..."Together!"

The stories of childhood leave an indelible impression, and their author always has a niche in the temple of memory from which the image is never cut out to be thrown on the rubbish heap of things that are outgrown and outlived........Howard Pyle
