Aha! That'll be where I picked it up, thank you! I'm the last one to use the DLG in support of anything, but that image has definitely gotten itself lodged in my mind.

I had always thought that glows were little balls that were picked off a fungus plant, but now that I think of it, I don't recall if it was ever specified what they actually look like.
Do glows...

Re: F'lar loves Lessa?
Interesting concept - although it's a little screwed from the start, with Pern's time-travel mechanics. If Lessa failed, then the Weyrs would not have gone missing in the first place, and we're in a...

Firelizards do not have a pincer configuration on the rear limbs, I guess that's what had me confused. The hind limbs have feet that are pretty much like a theropod dinosaur foot, as far as I've seen...

The pincer configuration is exclusive to the native firelizards. The forelimbs of mentasynth enhanced firelizards and the dragons were definitely altered to have five digits. I can't find any...

Nicely done! I can't wait to see further progress on these :D
Yes, the dragons definitely have three toes on the hind limbs, all forward facing. But the forelimbs have four fingers and a thumb.

Re: Just how big can flying creatures get anyway?
The normal range of a giraffe is 14-17 feet tall, so that picture is only slightly out of the norm. If he's 6' tall, then that would make the giraffe 18' at the very tip of the head knob thingies....

It all hinges on the square cubed law, a mathematical principle of proportion. Like if you double the proportions of a sugar cube, you end up with eight times the volume rather than the intuitive...
