Yup, it's the Bastei Bridge, and the river involved is the Elbe river flowing on the other side of those rocks and thus blocked from sight. We call pretty much anything that's remotely mountainous...

My guess is if it's north of Bejing, it probably also is north of the Great Wall since it is running around the northern edges of Bejing. Is it straight north from Bejing, or more northwest/northeast?
