My (almost) annual dragon chart rework.((Art))

I have a habit of, whenever I rediscover Pern, I go through a stage where I start drawing dragons, sometimes in a drastically different style than I used to. Then... comes the charts. Figuring out...

Avatar Meets Pern. Spoiler-ish?

I hope I'm not the only one who thought about this after I saw the movie x_x The tentacles coming out of the hair is essentially a thick rope of neural tissue that allows them to interface with...

Wherhandler

This was a very fun image to draw. It's a young woman with her wher. She works in the mines as basically.. a wherhandler.. keeping him under control and basically handling him and such. Really, not...

Re: Starships for the trekkies and Lady Maelin

Oh I -love- Star Trek. I'm not as picky as most Trekkies in that I actually enjoy the ST series' that came out after the Picard era.

Voyager is a favorite of mine especially, if only because most...

Re: Another Dragon Size Ref

Really? I don't really see it, but then again I end up seeing how professional Neon's work is and I end up seeing all the ways they aren't alike instead of how they are.

I try so hard not to be...

Re: Another Dragon Size Ref

Yes.. I think they were trying to make the alien musculature a touch too alien and it just looked odd.

Oh goodness I know what you mean about the copycatting. I've been going onto deviantart and I...

Re: Another Dragon Size Ref

Oh! But I didn't answer your other question correctly, Hans.

I used no particular book as a reference. I've been trying to perfect my Pern dragon for quite a while and I have been tweaking them to...

Re: Another Dragon Size Ref

'Enormously derivative'?

I've seen multiple version of size charts and did not intentionally make mine similar to anyone else's. In all truth, there are really very few ways to make a size chart...

Another Dragon Size Ref

No, this isn't really accurate. I basically did everything by eye. I made the gold the size I wanted her, made the smallest of greens as small as I thought they should go and filled in the middle....

Re: The Flight of Icarus

Re: what would you bring to pern

Every person who was taken to Pern were thoroughly screened for genetic defects. Anyone with something they couldn't cure basically wasn't allowed to be brought in. I have a long history of cancer in...

Re: what would you bring to pern

First off, I would get my tubes tied before I went anywhere. Most likely my genes are inferior to that of those on Pern and I don't want to screw it up with my loin spawn. Then, I'd take everything I...

Re: Kylara, a Bad girl or just misunderstood?

When I look at these characters in relation to the story, often I see somewhat 2 dimensional plot devices. (Then again most characters are at some point and time, swayed by plotline and the author's...

Ohmigawd, what did you guys do to my topic? lol!

Well my personal view of the Weyr would be that EVERYONE is bisexual, because that would make the most sense. Men wouldn't be afraid of being...

Exclamation (Potential Adult Topic) Dragons Sexual Selection

One thing that always bothered me is why a persons sexual preference changed what dragon they get. I know, I know. McCaffrey had her reasons and I respect them, but I don't understand why something...

Apologies for digging up an old topic, and WARNING about the content of my below post.

I find the thought that a man can't take no for an answer in real life is absolutely horrifying. I've been...
