Re: Harry Potter

I too am looking forward to the final Harry Potter, but I must admit that the later books are a lot less "fun" and a lot darker than the 1st books.

My husband and I were actually very disturbed...

Becky: Thanks for the info. It is neat to find out what color Anne imagined it to be!!

Re: Updated Poll: Radiant Fluid Colour

Thanks for doing this poll Gidget!
I put in my yellow/gold vote again... it's interesting to see the variety of answers and how popular this question has become.
I still wonder how Anne imagined...

Re: Mercedes Lackey

I liked the first Joust book the best, and I would recommend that any dragon lovers at least try it. It spends a lot of time exploring the care and feeding of dragons, and the relationship between...

Re: Books you just couldn't finish!

I agree with you on that Allana. There are a number of books that I found enthralling when I was a teen, but did not live up to my memories of them when I re-read as an adult. There are a few...

Re: Fond memories

As a child I too loved Enid Blyton & Little House on the Prairie, Nancy Drew & Bobbsey Twins. Alan Garner's "Weirdstone of Brisingamen" stuck in my head for years. My first sci-fi book was called...

Re: Crystal Colors and Other Good discussion Topics

There is also amethyst colored crystal. At the beginning of Crystal Line chapter 11, Killashandra brings in "a full carton of deep amethyst crystals in fifths and thirds."

She makes a lot of...

Re: Radiant Fluid Colour?

I'm still leaning towards a light golden yellow color... kind of like hair gel.

Re: If you had to be a character...

Definitely Killashandra... to go out into the Crystal ranges, and feel the crystal vibrating all around you... to experience the morning song of crystal waking up... to go to Optheria and Angel...

Re: Books you just couldn't finish!

I too rarely start a book that I can't finish... but it took me a couple of tries before I got through Robert Jordan's "Eye of the World" (book 1 of the Wheel of Time).
I stopped reading this...

Re: Mercedes Lackey

I too love the Valdemar books, but I also like her Bardic Voices series (especially book 1, "The Lark and the Wren"), and her Obsidian Trilogy (book 1 is called "To Light a Candle").
As for my...

Re: What color is radiant fluid??

Pam: I just finished re-reading all 3 Crystal Singer books and I agree... she did not assign a color to it. I wonder what color Anne imagined it to be when she was writing about it.
I adore the...

Re: Ballybran

In a pico.
Count me in!
I'm not sure if I have the perfect pitch... but maybe they will design a cutter that doesn't require it.

What color is radiant fluid??

In re-reading the Crystal Singer books I noticed that Anne never states what color radiant fluid is.... I found that interesting because in my mind I've always imagined it as being a golden yellow...
