Thanks Cheryl, but I've never bought books on line before  :erm::brow: Outside of the Science Fiction Book Club and I used the US mail to send my money order or check. I forgot that.

GinnyStar, It was $25 and the book itself, acceptable condition. It was hardback, without any writting in it, but how should I put it.....highly read? The dust jacket was poor condition with rips and bent up. I'm going to keep my eye out for a better copy.

Thanks I don't know of any real good second hand bookstore near me, One back home but mostly paperbacks in exchange.

Well, there's always a first time for everything :bouncy:

If you're concerned about security, why not ask a friend to walk you through the process? Seriously, the chances of finding a decent Atlas in the local bookstore are probably minimal (although I'd be delighted to be proved wrong :fiend:)

If I remember rightly -apparently the UK version of the Atlas I won at the London Gather (donated by Ian) was found in a second hand bookshop in York.

And I once found a US paperback copy in a second hand bookshop about 3 miles from Dragonhold, at the Mount Usher gardens.

But... I do think Anneli is right. They're up on eBay often enough, but in shops, the changes are slim indeed.
