Yes to Tresa (Asia that is) and Cheryl, it could go into "Something unexpected" but NO to Australian-made, Micronesia or Bali. Mum said she'll be happy with the town, you'll find these in :D

South-southwest of a line drawn from Tokyo to Eukui?

jube Apr 18 2010 03:23 AM

Re: Where in the world #258

No to P'ter.

GT do you mean Fukui as there's no place like Eukui that I could find?? Anyway if your question is south of between Fukui and Tokyo, I'll give you a YES if I'm thinking that's what you meant :irk: Sorry *shrugs shoulders here*.

P'ter Apr 18 2010 08:45 AM

Re: Where in the world #258

within 50km of Kobe?

Greenrider Tresa Apr 18 2010 03:26 PM

Re: Where in the world #258

Hmm, both Google Maps and a quick search confirmed the existence of Eukui. If you find Tokyo on Google maps then make a straight line west Eukui is on the opposite coast. Don't know, maybe they're the same city just translated differently, as it was kind of hard to read the names off the map.

And that works, though I was trying to account for the fact that the country curves south and west from there.

Due west of Osaka?

jube Apr 18 2010 08:07 PM

Re: Where in the world #258

No to both questions.

Psst ... my mum says please get your spelling correct, Fukui is the correct spelling and she should know, she spent time in Japan and sorry but I'm not going to disagree with my mum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukui,_Fukui) on this one if I can't find it. Sorry mate!

Yes well I;'m sorry that my vision is so poor I couldn't tell the edge of the letter from the top of the characters under it. I also occasionally confuse m, nn, and rn.

Re: Where in the world #258

Aaahhh now I understand GT, I'm sorry if there was any misunderstandings made as a result and hope I haven't upset you too much. Ooops on my behalf if that's the case. :(

They are very cute.

Re: Where in the world #258

Are they a memorial to a particular event?

Greenrider Tresa Apr 20 2010 03:49 PM

Re: Where in the world #258

It's all right, jube. Just take it never to assume a misspelling is due to a simple enability to spell. ;)

City on the coast?

jube Apr 20 2010 06:26 PM

Re: Where in the world #258

Yes to memorial.

No to being on the coast.

:ot:

GT - oops again - I suppose it's a case of knowing about Ginnystar's problems with reading small-print etc but not about everyone else unless it comes up in conversation. My appologies again.

P'ter Apr 21 2010 03:01 PM

Re: Where in the world #258
