This little dragon

I wonder if anyone recognizes this little guy? I've had him for quite a while and when we moved he got stuck in a high up cabinet in the kitchen. Five years later I've just re-discovered him. He's got a date of 1989 stamped on him and what looks like it could be TREE CREATIONS INC. Not too sure about that, it's very hard to read. Anyway, has anyone seen anything like this before? He's very endearing, even if he does have a tiny chip in one of his hind claws.

If he was British I'd say he was one of the 'Whimsy' series by Wade Bros.

I tried Googling both Whimsy and Wade Bros. as well as combinations of them. Do you have a picture of what they look like, since I can't find anything. :erm:

I looked around at a couple of the pictures. Very cute, but I don't think it's what I have. My dragon is a decent size, about 5 inches from base to the top of its head and about 6 inches from front to back. It would help if the stamp on it wasn't right at the start of the tail so that part of the company name is blurred so badly I can't make it out. Looks like DEETREE CREATIONS, INC. but I could be making up those first three letters. It's definitely "TREE" but the first part, Thanks for trying, it's a mildly interesting mystery to me. :D
