What is the significnce of F'lon/F'lar's eyecoloring
As I go through my Pern books again, I see multiple references to F'lon and F'lar's amber eye coloring as if it signifies something significant. What am I missing here.

Amber is a moderately unusual and fairly striking eye colour so I think that really is all that it is. It's just a quick and dirty way Anne can make her male protagonist (and designated love interest) special and attractive/interesting.

F'lon, their father and his half-brother also were that color.

Thanks, I was wondering if I was missing a reference that maybe that trait carried all the way through from a particular original colonist.
