LoL! Did you look up google too, vyon?

If south of England is wrong, how about somewhere else in England?

Not sure but related to County Wicklow?

Brenda Jul 10 2010 11:48 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

Well, I definitely visited County Wicklow on that trip, but this photo is not from County Wicklow!

jube Jul 11 2010 03:09 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

O well, thought I'd start with the obvious ...... no worries!

Galway?

No, the tree is southern, but the landscape is not - or at least not any southern that I've seen. And Jube had already said Ireland.

Brenda Jul 11 2010 10:50 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

Jube - not far from Galway.

Anyone want to try to narrow it down further, or should I reveal?

Hans Jul 11 2010 02:13 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

Reveal? We haven't even reached page two yet!

County Kerry?

Lily, sounds like my kind of stuff-up, I'm always doing something like that. :shhh:

Brenda, well I'd like to keep playing until someone works it out. Never reveal anything until someone has given you the correct answer. This cheeky brat hasn't done so and I don't know if anyone else has so hence why I said I'd like to keep playing as I'm sure everyone else would like to do so. This is fun and your photo's a good one too!

Question time ........ is it part of Connemara National Park?

Brenda Jul 11 2010 09:21 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

I'm sorry if I misunderstood the rules... I thought I was supposed to give yes or no answers?

jube Jul 12 2010 12:13 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

That is correct - a YES or No to any questions that arise is enough. For myself, I "talk" too much sometimes :blush:

Hans Jul 12 2010 02:25 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

What is the answer to my question, Brenda?

(and yes you should give only yes and no answers unless the question is very hard, then you could give hints according your own view, but not too early of course)

Gaaah. I was going to say Ireland too. The combination of tree and climate sticks it in gulf-stream warmed British Isles, and it doesn't look like Cornwall or Wales...

South down the coastline from Galway itself?

Brenda Jul 12 2010 09:20 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

Hans - No.
Jube - No.
P'ter - I had to look it up on GoogleMaps, but No!

Kath - Yes.

Hans Jul 12 2010 10:55 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

In County Claire?

spacedog Jul 12 2010 08:11 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

Cliffs of Mohair?

jube Jul 12 2010 08:14 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

Mohair - think he means Moher - apparently the walking dictionary (me) got confused with what he was asking....

My question is......KILLARNEY NATIONAL PARK?

Brenda Jul 13 2010 08:45 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

No, not Killarney National Park.

No, not Cliffs of Moher, although I did see those - on the same day, even!

Yes, County Clare.

Dingle?

jube Jul 14 2010 10:34 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

Oranmore?

:ot: One simply loves finding almost the exact photo that the poster (in this instance, Brenda) has posted and the person who posted almost the exact photo doesn't say where in the world, they took it. Hmmm...all they said that it was taken in western Ireland. So much for palm trees  or in this instance, Vyon's cabbage tree (radioactive cabbage trees, I'm just not sure about).

Brenda Jul 14 2010 10:57 AM

Re: Where in the World #264

No to all three...

Re: Where in the World #264

So, are we looking to the Atlantic Coast? (as opposed to the mouth of the river Shannon)

GinnyStar Jul 15 2010 01:58 PM

Re: Where in the World #264

Is it in the area of a body of water with in the USA?

PS, food for thought here, nice image
