Kugai!

There's a difference about warning that C_ris can get frisky, and bashing him. Put down that I-beam before anyone gets hurt!

I have a feather, and I know how to use it....

Hear, hear, mate!

I might tease, but I might not bash.

Here: have a feather. If we tickle him enough he might drop the I-beam on his own foot... :good:

Jesserli -
I went to Mount Holyoke, so feel free to ask or email about anything you might want to know. Beautiful campus, great teachers, and males in nearby towns, after all... Five-college area with buses in between and the opportunity to take classes at any of the colleges. A great junior-year-abroad program too. Funny where you put it on the list. It's way more competitive to get in than some of those others. Anyhow, good luck with your applications!

*grins* Well, the three that would generally be considered more difficult to get into are Cornell, Dartmouth, and Carnegie Mellon. Then BU, since the program I want has a yearly Freshman class of 20. After that, Mt. Holyoke is the most competitive, with Skidmore a close second. I don't think I'll have a problem getting into any but the top three (which aren't MY top three, just the three most competitive), since my SAT scores are very high (800 verbal - all that reading ;) ). I loved Mt. Holyoke when I went to visit - especially the Equestrian center! The only downfall is the all-girl bit, and the fact that i don't know much about their theatre program.

I noticed that one of those attractions of the college was the males in the town.... *ahem* Are they studly? Are they available? Are they worthwhile? That's more important than their mere existence.

Re: Getting to know you...

Hi all I'm Selene and I challenge you all to guess my identity.
A lot of you know me , and know me well .
Some of you have even shared a Gather with me (hi Anneli, H, and Bardmaiden)
I am 55 years young and is the proud owner of several cats (Balinese) a dog Rodeshian Ridgeback (bitch) and a day care taker of the giant RR Indorion 67 cm and 55 kilos heavy (the sweetest dog in the universe but, just, to ,big).
The dogs are nuts their favoutite ocupation is to run beside the Highway trying to outrun the cars.
Not to worry, the road is fenced with a protective fence (put there to protect deer and elk and such from being run down by cars or vice versa)
Both dogs are exellent hunting dogs and now and then get used by the local police to find people and animals who has got lost in the forrest.
Yes we do have several large forrest areas that is very easy to get lost in.
Where I live Haninge is situated about 6 miles outside Stockholm .
I work at a bank at the security department and that is all I'm going to tell you about my work. And no I do not carry a gun at work. :bouncy:

Heh! Heh! I've seen those other posts in reply :sly: I'll keep you guys in mind for the future....& dragons can be very patient :sneak: :fiend:

In response to Cheryl, it comes from the transliteration of Japanese to Roman leters. In Japanese, the word for "dragon" is often spelled/pronounced "Ryu", from the Hirigana characters "Ra-yu-U". The "double u" gets rewritten as a "u", so dakala I've shifted my ID to "Ryuu" :D So, I'll be staying with this at the new sites, too;)

Re: Getting to know you...

Hi All ! My Name here (and formerly on the KTB) is Pat69La. My real name is Lorenda. I'm a 50 something single woman. I'm the primary Caregiver for my Parents. We have three dogs and one cat who live with us.[The cat(a Persian) rules the house, though he does allow two of the dogs(a Pekineese & a Dachshund) to share his space, as long as they behave!].The outside dog is a Austrailian Shepherd/Border Collie Mix.He's our watchdog.

I've been a fan of AMC since way back in the mid-70's when I first read the
trilogy "Dragonriders of Pern". I've read every book about Pern since then and am looking forward to reading new ones just coming out.

My other interests are music & cooking, as well as loving all kinds of animals.

We have thousands of books - not all science fiction as we have very catholic tastes. Our latest hobby is Graphic art and we are both having a great time learning to use Bryce - I have done two pictures with dragons in them - but not as awe inspiring as Anne's. This is one of them

What're the possible scores for the SAT's? I'm working on getting a doctorate w/o having to take any of those types of tests. I've made it into a master's program w/o, but I think my luck will run out at the doctorate level.

As to the all-girl bit being a downfall, well, that's wholly a matter of perspective now, isn't it? ;)
