G'day Topaz! I would be worried if you didn't spend time thinking of your boyfriend, tell the truth. I hope he thinks of you, and expresses how wonderful and sweet you are in turn.

I tried "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", but for some strange reason, the ladies don't seem to happy when I bring out the whips and chains.... ;) :faint2:

Hiya my friends!! I have a question for Cheryl. You said there was a fanfic where Canth flew Wirenth. Do you know where it is? Much appreciated if you could.:)

It's not available online Dragongirl; it's part of the timeline for offline club of Ista Weyr run by Marilyn and Harry Alm.

Try five degrees lat south of arctic circle ;)
It's way colder than that. WAy! All day! Even colder at night!
I'll refuse to say how cold, as it's too cold.

I don't mind it being cold OUTSIDE. It's when I have no heat in the Jinxed Flat, and my daughter gets sick that I get really b*tch* about it! (Like NOW!She'd be warmer at school, but throwing up and running a fever, I have to keep her home)

edith Nov 29 2005 07:24 AM

Re: Getting to know you...

oh no!

we've not got central heating here!

have you been on the look out for some panel heaters?
I'm going to this week. I've seen some for £20-£30.

It might help with the cold a bit!

Electrician's been. He had to put a new, heavier fuse in for the heater. We're warm now!

I've been on Anne McCaffrey fan boards for a little over a year now. I'm obsessed. :shhh: Don't feel bad, I didn't used to be very good online or even simply on a computer playing games, but finally, i'm much better, and a fast typer too!

So you know, I consider myself young for this kind of thing, so does my mum. I'm only 16. *grins*

Just know that you are among friends and people of like minds (warpped and all that stuff!! :D )

Re: Getting to know you...

Kater, Hi! Well strange is ok, along with crazy and weird.....I realy like weirdo's, being one myself. It's rude, nasty and mean, that realy don't do a thing for me. They make me want to say "ICK", and run in the opposite direction. Life is just to short to be like that it's just a waste to me. Thankfully I don't meet to many like that I live a charmed life, look at where I ended up, in here with all of you.

Lady Maelin Dec 9 2005 11:59 AM

Re: Getting to know you...

Hans, what a compliment, thank you. I'm learning something new on this computer of mine every day, its great to think that I can still learn so much at my age. The fact that my grand-daughter can teach me something on my computer is wild. Bring it on I'm ready, just let me warm up my one little brain cell.

Bea, I watched the art show, it was very Beautiful. I'm a artist too, but on paper or canvas. I can not imagine how you even start something like you do, keep up the great work. It's marvelous thank you for the show.

Re: Getting to know you...

I can't complain about cold but I can complain about extreme temperature changes as I live in Outback Australia and in Summer it goes to like 46 degrees whereas in Winter it can be -2!:irk:

Oh and I is back from Melbourne and I got a dragon statue and stain glass from a market! I love the stain glass, its a silvery blue and the closest I could get to a Pern likeness.:D And I'm back on track with Acorna...

Lady Maelin Dec 10 2005 01:24 PM

Re: Getting to know you...

Hi Dragongirl!
The Australian Outback, is that like in the American Southwest? Where it is big, dry, and far between places, or am I out of date? I have little or no knowledge of Australia. I would love to know more. Weather varies alot you say. I can not complain about my weather, which I believe is the best on the planet. Melbourne sounds exciting. We go to our local small city which is San Bernardino. About once a month we go shopping. They have everything that you could possibly want. It has been going through a growing spirt lately. The closest big city that we go to is San Diego. Now that is a beautiful city. Tons of things to do that are wonderful. My favorite is to lay on the beach under an umbrella in the warm sun, and read a great book. I love Pride and Prejudice too. At the beach I usualy I take the Anne Mccaffrey book that I am reading at the time. I see that you draw. Me too, for a long time in my life. When I was about seven years old, I drew a portrait of my Mom and Dad. Since then I can hardly keep from drawing something every day. I always have some piece of art on the easel, that I am working on. You? What do you draw? What medium do you like to work in? I like acrylics, and pen and ink most. I draw or paint people and landscapes mostly. Do you collect dragons and stained glass? I collect cat things, figurines, pictures, and stuffies. I have had to put a limit on my stuffies though, or I will soon be burried alive in them. No more room for my husband and I. I also collect Santa's. I love them. All kinds of them. I have got to stop getting them, too. No more room for all of this stuff, but it looks wonderful in my livingroom at this time of year. Sorry to ramble so, but that's me, gabby...let me hear from you again when you get time.......have a great holiday Dragongirl.
