Coping with stress..

(decision at Doona) Pat Reeve decided to live in the 'Now' and enjoy the time she had on Doona, preferring to not think about what might happen. This seems to be a sensible attitude to take considering her fate wasn't in her own hands but in the hands of a bunch of beurocrats who couldn't make up their own minds.
Could you do this or would you worry too much to put it out of your mind?

Good question. I'm usually pretty good at ignoring worries until I can do something about them. So, I think I'd be able to get on with life and only worry about things when I really had to.

When I know there's someone else close to me that I trust worrying about them, then I can easily not worry about most things like that that are largely out of my hands.

Like when we went to a family reunion this summer. Getting through the airport with twins and car seats and such didn't stress me at all, cause hubby was doing enough worrying about the logistics. :)

Everyone would THINK I wasn't worrying, that I was just living in the moment. I'd save my worrying for private, and yell at myself for it in private, too.

I wouldn't have been able to put it completely out of my mind. It would have spoiled the rest of the stay for me, even though I would have tried to make the most of it.
